Annual Fund
Royal Palm Academy is a non-profit, private, independent Catholic school that relies on tuition and the philanthropy of its community to meet budgetary requirements. The Annual Fund Drive makes it possible for us to continue the tradition of excellence that began 13 years ago, through dedication and sacrifice of parents, families, and friends.
The RPA Annual Fund Drive supports the day-to-day operating costs of running our school. Through the generous support RPA receives, we are able to maintain our mission and provide an exceptional education to our children. Every contribution plays an important role in ensuring Royal Palm Academy is among the best private schools in Southwest Florida. Tuition covers only 80% of what it costs to education a child at RPA.
- The difference of approximately $2,500 must be made up through generous contributions.
- The Annual Fund offsets costs that otherwise would elevate tuition.
- Annual Fund donations are tax-deductible as allowed by IRS code.
- The higher our participation rate, the more favorable we are to receive funding to develop our unique educational programs, attract and retain the best teachers, and continue to support our sports and extracurricular activities.
Levels of Participation
This year’s Annual Fund campaign goal is $200,000.00 with 100% participation from our families, faculty and staff. Each tax-deductible gift, no matter the size, brings us that much closer to realizing both of these goals. All Annual Fund donors are recognized by giving level in our Annual Report published and mailed in November. Each year, RPA’s Palm Partner benefactors are recognized with a reception in their honor.
Platinum Palm Partners - $15,000 and above
Gold Palm Partners - $8,000 - $14,999
Silver Palm Partners - $4,000 - $7,999
Bronze Palm Partners - $1,000 - $3,999
Patron - Up to $999
Matching Gifts
As an employee benefit, hundreds of American corporations match their staff’s philanthropic contributions. Matching gifts allow you to double or triple your gift to the school. Forms are available from your company’s Human Resources department for this easy way to increase the impact of your gift.
Memorial & Tribute Giving
You can honor the memory of a loved one or celebrate a special occasion through a donation to RPA’s Annual Fund. You will receive an acknowledgement of your contribution, and the family member or honoree will receive a letter of notification as well (omitting dollar amounts). Along with your gift and contact information, please provide us with the name and address of the person you\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'d like us to notify of your gift.
Stock Gifts
If your investment portfolio includes highly appreciated, low–yielding stock or mutual funds and you\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'re considering a gift to RPA, you may want to think about making a gift of stock or mutual fund shares. It\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s a tax–wise way to support RPA.
Gifts of appreciated securities held longer than one year are exempt from capital gains taxes and entitle the donor to a tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities at the time of transfer. Donating shares of stock to RPA is easy. Please notify the Development Office of the type of stock and number of shares that you wish to give, as well as how the funds should be directed (Annual Fund, pledge payment, tribute, etc.). We will provide you with the information you and your broker will need to initiate the transfer. To avoid exposure to capital gains tax, ownership of the stock must be transferred to RPA prior to the sale of the stock.
Your Annual Fund gift is a charitable donation, which can be used for income tax purposes. Royal Palm Academy is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Your gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
