2008 SUMMER CAMP OFFERINGS
Travel Camp
The Royal Palm Academy Travel Camp is a big draw each summer. Each day, campers traveled to different local destinations. Trips included The Naples Zoo, Calusa Nature Center, Imaginarium, Pizza Hut, bowling, movies, ice skating, and the new Collier County Water Park. Different trips are offered each session according to your camper’s grade level and interest.
Soccer Camp
Last summer, Royal Palm Academy hosted a summer Soccer Camp directed by Glenn Trinder, Physcal Education teacher. Camp was held for two, one-week sessions during the month of June. During each session, campers worked on improving their soccer skills by engaging in drills and competitive game play. Each camp week also incorporated other fun sports, games, and activities.
Theme Week Summer Camps
Each week, for nine weeks last summer, campers enjoyed a full or half day of summer camp based on themes. The themes included Science, Fairy tales, Sports, Dramatic Arts, etc. The campers did crafts, learned and played to each of these themes. Field trips were also incorporated into the weeks.
